Old Burton Toy Store Building Kit for New Use

An old Burton toy store is “under offer” just eight months after it goes on the market.

Midco Toymaster moved from its High Street store in April this year to a larger store in The Octagon Mall in the city.

His High Street building was subsequently listed for sale or lease with real estate agent Rushton Hickman, and it has now been revealed that the property is in the process of being offered.

Staffordshire Live has contacted Rushton Hickman for more details on the potential new owners.

The High Street store has a retail space on the ground floor with storage space and a kitchen on the first floor.

The store was offered for rent of around £ 19,950 per year or to buy it freehold for £ 275,000.

The estate agent said: “These two-story commercial premises are located in the pedestrianized section of High Street in downtown Butron upon Trent.

“Work is currently underway for the coating and planting of this district as part of the development of the city center by the community.

“The property is close to one of the entrances to Coopers Square shopping center and nearby occupants include Lloyds Bank, H Samuel, Barclays Bank and Specsavers.

“The property includes retail on the ground floor in addition to shops, kitchens and restrooms on the first floor. “

Midco Toys owner David Middleton has moved his store to The Octagon Mall because the premises are much larger and would make deliveries easier.

The toy store had started on New Street 19 years ago, before moving to larger premises in High Street where it had been for the past 10 years before moving again.

The new Midco Toys is based in the old Evans clothing store between HMV and Poundland.
