Sad news this week as the toy industry mourns the loss of Art Janis, executive vice president of sales at WowWee.

WowWee sent the following message as a reminder:

Dear Artie,

It has been an honor to have you in our lives. You were there from the very beginning, always positive, always smiling, always honest, always giving the maximum… Your loyalty to everyone you called friend was unwavering, you were always our shining example of what it means to be decent, caring and mostly real. We have so many fond memories of how you have helped build and touch all of our lives, including the estate of WowWee himself with the big fingerprint you left both on our family and on all generations. members of our organization. We suspect that the reason your heart gave out is because you gave it to so many of us – this is the reason you will never be out of our thoughts and lives. We know how phobic you were to be nothing less than the vibrant, never better attitude you always brought with you wherever you go, and we take comfort in knowing that you would never want to exist without being able to function. at full capacity… which is driving through an airport while shopping for dessert and a Coke, phone in hand and looking at the Yankees. Know that you will be dearly missed and will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace our dear friend, children’s uncle, loved by everyone at WowWee, especially your HK siblings (Mark Ng, Fion, Gloria, Anita, Steven to name a few), and especially your beautiful wife, Marina.

With a lot of love always,

Your WowWee family
