Toy maker opens MSF factory in Pennsylvania

Mattel Inc. has partnered with Ryder System Inc. to manage and staff the distribution center. The installation is fully operational.

U.S. toy manufacturing company Mattel Inc. has announced the opening of its new distribution center in Jonestown, Penn. Ryder System Inc., a commercial fleet management company, will operate and employ the approximately one million square foot facility.

Located in the Gateway Logistics Park area, the distribution center is now fully operational and will generate up to 400 new jobs in Lebanon County. The development marks Mattel’s third installation in the United States. The property features clear heights of 36 feet, approximately 15,000 square feet of office space, dedicated automotive and distribution entry / exit points, and up to 450 secure storage areas for off-building trailers.

In September 2016, Mattel entered into a long-term lease agreement with MRP Industrial and Clarion Partners for the development of the facility.
